The Campsite
FAQs
- Can we visit for the day?
Yes, the cost is £5.50 per person per day, please book as you would a pitch.
- Do you have seasonal pitches?
We do have some seasonal pitches but currently there are none available and we are operating a waiting list. Our seasonal pitches run from 1st April to 31st March each year.
- Are dogs allowed?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome for a small daily charge. But please bear in mind the campsite is based on a working farm, with farm dogs and animals. Dogs should be on the lead and must not freely visit other campers’ pitches. There are many walks and walking areas to exercise your pets. Please ask when you are on site and please make sure you pick up after your dog.
- Can we bar-b-que?
Of course, it wouldn’t be a campsite without a bar-b-que. Join in the communal bath-b-que or have your own, just please do so safety, with consideration of your neighbours and without causing any burn marks or destroying your pitch in any way.
- Can we have a fire?
We love a good fire, there’s nothing better than sitting round an open fire, watching the stars and have a good chat. If you don’t want to join in the communal fire then we’re happy for you have your own fire, as long as it’s safe, contained e.g. in a fire pit or chimenea and you have a bucket of water or sand on standby. Please do let us know so we can ensure you are safe and that your fire will take into consideration your neighbours. Bags of farm logs can be purchased from us at £5 per bag.
- Can we let the chickens out?
No, please don’t. Our chickens are kept in until lunchtime, after which they are free to roam the yard and fields. This policy means that the majority of eggs are laid in the hen house and I don’t have to spend ages looking for them 😊
- Do you provide Wifi access?
No, WiFi access isn't something we provide currently.
